Während Deutschland dazu beiträgt, eine europäische Festung zu errichten, gerät die politische Landschaft ins Wanken.
Von emotionalisierten Medienberichten bis zu hilflos nach rechts rudernden Politiker*innen zeichnet sich eine gesellschaftliche Erzählung ab, die sich gegen Migrant*innen und Schutzsuchende richtet.
Ist Migration überhaupt das große Problem, zu dem es gemacht wird? Oder offenbart die Abschottungspolitik tiefere gesellschaftliche Ängste?
In eindringlichen Geschichten zeigt der Film eine zunehmend beängstigende Realität aus Sicht von Geflüchteten und analysiert die Dynamiken hinter dem historischen Rechtsruck.
Im Dialog mit Aktivist*innen, Wissenschaftler*innen und Publizist*innen fordert KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND – ABSCHOTTUNG EINES EINWANDERUNGSLANDES dazu auf, den brutalen Status quo und die scheinbar unaufhaltsame Radikalisierung der Migrations- und Asyldebatte in Frage zu stellen.

Is migration really the big problem it is made out to be? Or does the policy of isolation reveal deeper social fears?
Through powerful stories, the film shows an increasingly frightening reality from the perspective of refugees and analyses the dynamics behind the historic shift to the right.
In dialogue with activists, academics and journalists, KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND – ABSCHOTTUNG EINES EINWANDERUNGSLANDES (No Country for Anyone – Isolation of an Immigration Country) calls for the brutal status quo and the seemingly unstoppable radicalisation of the migration and asylum debate to be questioned.
