Am 18. Mai wurden erneut Boote der Global Sumud Flotilla in internationalen Gewässern nach und nach abgefangen.
Die Gewalt des israelischen Staates gegen die Aktivistinnen der Flotilla, die sich dem Aufruf der Palästinenser:innen in Gaza angeschlossen haben, um die Blockade des Gazastreifens zu brechen, hat einen neuen Höhepunkt erreicht.
Schon in den vergangenen Missionen wurde über sexualisierte Gewalt und Folter in Haft berichtet:
Anna Liedtke hatte bereits im Dezember 2025 öffentlich gemacht, dass sie in israelischer Haft vergewaltigt wurde.
Nach ihrer Veröffentlichung machten auch andere Aktivistinnen, die Teil derselben Mission gewesen waren, öffentlich, dass sie Folter und sexualisierte Gewalt erlebt hatten.
Wie die australische Aktivistin Juliet Lamont, die von Folter und Vergewaltigung berichtet hat, gesagt hat:
„Sie haben uns die Knochen gebrochen, aber unsere Seele haben sie nicht gebrochen. Und jetzt, wo ich sie kennengelernt habe, weiß ich, dass sie keine Seele haben. Deshalb sind wir viel stärker als sie. Deshalb, Free Palestine!“
Die Flotillas werden so lange weiter segeln, bis die Blockade des Gazastreifens gebrochen ist!
Wir werden so lange auf die Straße gehen, bis Palästina frei ist – und uns dabei von Polizeigewalt nicht einschüchtern lassen!

On 18 May, boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla were once again gradually intercepted in international waters.
The Israeli state’s violence against the flotilla activists, who have joined the call by Palestinians in Gaza to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip, has reached a new peak.
Reports of sexualised violence and torture in detention had already emerged from previous missions:
Anna Liedtke had already made public in December 2025 that she had been raped whilst in Israeli custody.
Following her disclosure, other activists who had been part of the same mission also went public, stating that they had experienced torture and sexualised violence.
As Australian activist Juliet Lamont, who has spoken out about torture and rape, said:
“They broke our bones, but they didn’t break our spirit. And now that I’ve got to know them, I know they have no spirit. That’s why we are much stronger than they are. That’s why: Free Palestine!”
The flotillas will continue to sail until the blockade of the Gaza Strip is broken!
We will take to the streets until Palestine is free – and we will not be intimidated by police violence!
