„The Encampments” dokumentiert die Studentenproteste des letzten Jahres auf ganz Turtle Island (Vereinigte Staaten), bei denen eine akademische und institutionelle Desinvestition aus israelischen und amerikanischen Rüstungsunternehmen gefordert wurde.

Der Film bietet ein intimes Porträt der Zeltlager, der Solidarität und der Proteste.

Der Eintritt ist auf Spendenbasis – alle Einnahmen des Abends gehen an eine vertriebene Familie aus Gaza in Ägypten.

‘The Encampments’ documents student protests in the last year all over Turtle Island (United States), demanding an academic and institutional divestment from Israeli and American weapon companies. The film offers an intimate portrait of the encampments, of solidarity and protest.
