In einer Zeit, in der die fundamentalen und reproduktiven Rechte von FLINTA* weltweit angegriffen werden, ist es uns wichtig, das Recht auf Abtreibung in den Fokus zu stellen.
Auch in Deutschland sind Abtreibungen unter dem Paragraph 218 StGB seit über 150 Jahren grundsätzlich verboten, auch wenn sie unter bestimmten Bedingungen nicht strafrechtlich verfolgt werden.
Vor diesem Hintergrund laden wir alle ein, mit uns den Film „WIE WIR WOLLEN“ zu schauen und diskutieren, ein dokumentarfilmisches Portrait über Individuen in Deutschland, die einen Schwangerschaftsabbruch hinter sich haben.
Dabei problematisiert der Film auch unser cisheteronormatives, rassistisches, kapitalistisches und behindertenfeindliches System und wie sich dieses auf eine Entscheidungsfreiheit für „alle“ auswirkt.
Nach der Filmvorführung freuen wir uns, für eine Diskussion Dr. Jana Mäffert zu Gast zu haben, welche an dem Film mitgewirkt hat und Vorstandsmitglied bei Doctors for Choice Germany e.V. ist.

At a time when the fundamental and reproductive rights of FLINTA* are under attack worldwide, it is important for us to focus on the right to abortion.
In Germany, too, abortions have been prohibited in principle for over 150 years under Section 218 of the German Criminal Code, even if they are not prosecuted under certain conditions.
With this in mind, we invite everyone to watch and discuss the film „WIE WIR WOLLEN„, a documentary portrait of individuals in Germany who have had an abortion.
The film also problematises our cisheteronormative, racist, capitalist and anti-disability system and how this affects freedom of choice for „everyone“.
After the screening, we are delighted to have Dr Jana Mäffert, who worked on the film and is a board member of Doctors for Choice Germany e.V., as our guest for a discussion.
