Die JVA Moabit und der Mord an Ferhat Mayouf
Vortrag und Diskussion zu staatlicher Gewalt und abolitionistische Perspektiven.
Am 23.7.2020 starb Ferhat Mayouf im Knast in Moabit an einer Rauchvergiftung.
Das war Mord – Mord durch diesen Staat und seine rassistischen Institutionen!
Unterdrückerische, rassistische und gewaltvolle Verhältnisse finden sich in allen Facetten unsere Lebens und der Gesellschaft.
Im Knast sind diese Verhältnisse extremer und gleichzeitig nach außen unsichtbar.
Daher ist es umso wichtiger für uns, die hier draußen sind, in aktiver Solidarität mit den Gefangenen zu stehen!
No Justice, No Peace!
Kommt zu unserer Veranstaltung am Mittwoch, bei der wir über den Fall von Ferhat und die Rolle von Knästen in der Gesellschaft reden und vorstellen, wie wir uns dagegen organisieren!
Zu Gast sind die Initiative in Gedenken an Ferhat Mayouf und Vanessa Thompson.
Am 23.07. jährt sich Ferhat Mayoufs Todestag zum sechsten mal.
Wir gehen auf die Straße, um ihm zu gedenken und gegen die Verhältnisse zu protestieren, die zu seinem Tod geführt haben.
Wir werden den Gefangenen zeigen, dass sie nicht alleine sind.
Wir lassen nicht zu, dass der Tod von Ferhat und die Gewalt hinter Knastmauern hier draußen in Vergessenheit geraten.
Kommt mit uns auf die Straße: Am 23.07.2026 um 18 Uhr am U-Bahnhof Turmstraße!

Moabit Prison and the murder of Ferhat Mayouf
Talk and discussion on state violence and abolitionist perspectives.
On 23 July 2020, Ferhat Mayouf died of smoke inhalation in Moabit Prison.
That was murder – murder committed by this state and its racist institutions!
Oppressive, racist and violent conditions are found in every aspect of our lives and society.
In prison, these conditions are more extreme and, at the same time, invisible to the outside world.
That is why it is all the more important for those of us on the outside to stand in active solidarity with the prisoners!

Come along to our event on Wednesday, where we will discuss Ferhat’s case and the role of prisons in society, and explore how we can organise against them!
Our guests will be the Initiative in Memory of Ferhat Mayouf and Vanessa Thompson.
23 July marks the sixth anniversary of Ferhat Mayouf’s death.
We’re taking to the streets to commemorate him and to protest against the conditions that led to his death.
We’ll show the prisoners that they’re not alone.
We will not allow Ferhat’s death and the violence behind prison walls to be forgotten out here.
