Mit Beginn des Kriegs in der Ukraine haben sich viele Linke für Waffenlieferungen ausgesprochen. Gerechtfertigt wird dies bis heute mit einem Recht auf Selbstverteidigung und nationaler Selbstbestimmung.
Woher kommen diese Konzepte, was bedeuten sie und wie sind sie in die aktuellen Verhältnisse und Kriegsgeschehen einzuordnen?
Wir wollen mit euch und Ewgeniy Kasakow über die Frage sprechen, wie Linke dazu kommen, sich hinter eine der Staatsgewalten zu stellen und was „legitime Sicherheitsinteressen“ der Staaten für Folgen für ihre Bevölkerung haben. Mit welcher Perspektive und Praxis können wir der militaristischen Entwicklung begegnen?
Ewgeniy ist 1982 in Moskau geboren, studierte Kulturgeschichte Osteuropas, Philosophie und Geschichte an der Universität Bremen, wo er 2017 promoviert wurde.
Derzeit arbeitet er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Deutschen Auswandererhaus Bremerhaven und publiziert seit vielen Jahren Artikel in zahlreichen Zeitungen und Zeitschriften. Große Aufmerksamkeit bekam sein Buch „Spezialoperation und Frieden. Die russische Linke gegen den Krieg“, das 2023 erschien.
Im Anschluss geben wir Updates zu den antimilitaristischen Aktionstagen und dem Camp vom 03. bis 08. September in Kiel.
Denn: Aufrüstung und Zeitenwende sind in vollem Gang. Und Krieg beginnt noch immer hier!

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, many on the left have spoken out in favour of arms deliveries. This is still justified today with the right to self-defence and national self-determination.
Where do these concepts come from, what do they mean and how can they be categorised in the current circumstances and war events?
We want to talk to you and Evgeniy Kazakov about the question of how leftists come to stand behind one of the state powers and what consequences „legitimate security interests“ of states have for their populations. What perspective and practice can we use to counter militaristic developments?
Ewgeniy was born in Moscow in 1982 and studied the cultural history of Eastern Europe, philosophy and history at the University of Bremen, where he completed his doctorate in 2017.
He currently works as a research assistant at the German Emigration Centre in Bremerhaven and has published articles in numerous newspapers and magazines for many years. His book „Special Operation and Peace. The Russian Left against the War“, which was published in 2023.
We will then provide updates on the antimilitarist days of action and the camp from 3 to 8 September in Kiel.
