Einer unserer Genossen steht am 5.11. um 10 Uhr wegen zwei verschiedener Anklagepunkte im Zusammenhang mit zwei verschiedenen Demonstrationen vor Gericht, die im April 2023 sowie im Juni 2024 stattfanden.
Die erste Anklage lautet auf Widerstand gegen die Festnahme und die zweite auf „Verwendung von Symbolen terroristischer Organisationen”, weil er „Vom Fluss bis zum Meer, Palästina wird frei sein!” skandiert hat.
In diesem Angriff auf unseren Genossen lassen sich zwei Muster erkennen, die die Polizei und die Staatsanwaltschaft gerne anwenden:
1) Jemandem Widerstand gegen die Festnahme als einzigen Vorwurf anzulasten und dabei die Frage offen zu lassen, warum die Festnahme überhaupt notwendig war. Dies wurde schon unzählige Male getan und ist ein eklatanter Beweis für das willkürliche Verhalten der Polizei.
2) Die Verfolgung mehrerer Anklagepunkte aus verschiedenen Anlässen in derselben Sitzung: Dies ermöglicht es dem Staat, das Bild eines „Wiederholungstäters“ zu zeichnen, die Meinung des Richters zu beeinflussen und eine Verurteilung wahrscheinlicher zu machen, auch wenn dies theoretisch nicht der Fall ist.
Wir werden unsere Genoss*innen verteidigen, wie wir es mit jeder*jedem von uns tun!

One of our comrades is standing trial on 5.11. at 12 noon, for 2 different charges related to 2 different demonstrations, which happened in April 2023 as well as in June 2024.
The first charge is resisting arrest and the second one is „using symbols of terror organisations“, for chanting „From the River to the Sea Palestine will be free!“
In this attack against our comrade, we can see two patterns that the police and the state prosecution love to use:
1) accusing someone of resisting arrest as the only charge, leaving open the question of why the arrest had to occur in the first place? This has been done countless times and constitutes a blatant exposure of the arbitrary behavior of the police;
2) prosecuting multiple charges, from multiple different occasions, in the same session: this allows the state to paint the picture of “ a repeat offender“, influencing the judge’s opinion and making a conviction, even though this is theoretically not the case, more likely.
We will defend our comrades as we do with everyone of us!
