Als Auftakt zur Zeit um den 1. Mai wollen wir mit euch den Film “Sir! No Sir!” schauen und über die Zusammenhänge von Arbeitskämpfen und Antimilitarismus diskutieren!
Es wird einen kleinen politischen Input geben, anschließend zeigen wir den Film “Sir! No Sir!”.
Der Dokumentarfilm behandelt die GI Bewegung in den USA gegen den Vietnamkrieg, eine Bewegung die von den Soldat:innen selbst aus ging und Unterstützung durch Hollywood Aktivist:innen wie Jane Fonda fand.
Kommt vorbei, diskutiert mit uns und lasst uns uns auf einen kämpferischen 1. Mai einstimmen!

“Sir! No Sir!”, 85 mins, 2005
To kick off the run-up to 1 May, we want to watch the film “Sir! No Sir!” with you and discuss the links between labour struggles and anti-militarism!
There will be a brief political introduction, followed by a screening of the film “Sir! No Sir!”.
The documentary explores the GI movement in the USA against the Vietnam War, a movement that originated among the soldiers themselves and found support from Hollywood activists such as Jane Fonda.
