Am Donnerstag, den 26.09 findet die, von der AFD eingeforderte, Sondersitzung der BVV Lichtenberg zur Unterbringung von geflüchteten Menschen, in der Max-Taut-Schule (Fischerstr 36, Nähe Nöldnerplatz) statt. Am Ende wird es auch eine Bürger:innen-Fragerunde geben für die die AFD in ihren Kreisen wirbt. Auch Parteiprominenz in Gestalt von Beatrix von Storch hat sich bereits angekündigt und hetzt mit.
Die AFD versucht bereits seit mehreren Wochen gegen den Zuzug von Geflüchteten eine rassistische Stimmung im Bezirk zu verbreiten. Vergangenen Monat hetzten sie bereits am Prerower Platz vor dem Lindencenter, wurden dort aber von einer Vielzahl von Menschen daran gehindert den großen Platz zu nutzen und mussten sich mit ihrer Kundgebung in die hinterste Ecke verkrümeln. Und auch am Donnerstag werden wir ihnen die BVV nicht überlassen. Wir werden uns der bereits angemeldeten Gegenkundgebung um 18 Uhr anschließen und um 19 Uhr gemeinsam die BVV besuchen. Kommt mit uns mit, belegt die Plätze und lasst uns frühzeitig verhindern, dass hier ein rassistischer Mob zusammen kommt, der gegen die neu ankommenden Menschen im Bezirk Stimmung machen will!
Denn die von der AFD angesprochenen sozialen Probleme sind nicht durch rassistische Stimmungsmache zu lösen! Die Probleme entstehen nicht durch geflüchtete Menschen, die in den neuen Massenunterkünften in Lichtenberg untergebracht werden sollen, sie sind schon jetzt real. Soziale Projekte und soziale Infrastruktur, wie Schulen, Kitas oder Arztpraxen, sind im Bezirk seit Jahren unterfinanziert. Das alles interessierte die AFD natürlich bis zu den geplanten Wohnheimen für Geflüchtete alles nicht. Erst jetzt, wo sie dieses Thema für ihre rassistische Hetzte nutzen können, spricht die AFD es an. Dabei geht es ihr aber natürlich nicht wirklich um die Verbesserung unserer Lebensbedingungen, sondern um den Erfolg ihrere rassistischen Politik der Spaltung.
Um hier im Bezirk bessere Lebensbedingungen für uns alle zu erlangen müssen wir uns zusammenschließen und gemeinsam für bezahlbaren Wohnraum, gute Schulen, ausreichende medizinische Versorgung und unkommerzielle Treffpunkte kämpfen. Und zwar völlig unabhängig davon, ob wir hier schon ewig leben oder neu in den Bezirk dazukommen. Auch wir sind gegen Geflüchtetenlager – aber nur, weil das Leben in ihnen menschenunwürdig ist und wir für guten Wohnraum für alle Menschen eintreten!
Das Problem sind also nicht unsere neu ankommenden Nachbar:innen – das Problem ist die AFD und ihre Politik der Spaltung!
Deshalb: am Donnerstag, 26.08, 18 Uhr zur Kundgebung vor die Max-Taut-Schule und danach rein in die BVV – wir lassen den Faschisten keinen Raum für ihre rassistische Hetze!

On Thursday 26 September, the special meeting of the Lichtenberg BVV on the accommodation of refugees, called for by the AFD, will take place in the Max Taut School (Fischerstr 36, near Nöldnerplatz). At the end, there will also be a citizens‘ question and answer session, which the AFD is promoting in its circles. Party celebrities in the form of Beatrix von Storch have already announced their attendance and will be joining in the agitation.
The AFD has been trying to spread a racist mood in the district against the influx of refugees for several weeks now. Last month, they were already agitating at Prerower Platz in front of the Linden Centre, but were prevented from using the large square by a large number of people and had to hide their rally in the far corner. And we will not leave the BVV to them on Thursday either. We will join the already registered counter-rally at 6 pm and visit the BVV together at 7 pm. Come with us, fill the seats and let’s prevent a racist mob from gathering here at an early stage to mobilise against the new arrivals in the district!
Because the social problems addressed by the AFD cannot be solved by racist propaganda! The problems are not caused by refugees who are to be housed in the new mass accommodation centres in Lichtenberg, they are already real. Social projects and social infrastructure, such as schools, daycare centres and doctors‘ surgeries, have been underfunded in the district for years. Of course, the AFD was not interested in any of this until the planned accommodation centres for refugees. Only now that they can use this issue for their racist agitation is the AFD addressing it. Of course, they are not really interested in improving our living conditions, but in the success of their racist politics of division.
In order to achieve better living conditions for all of us here in the district, we must unite and fight together for affordable housing, good schools, adequate medical care and non-commercial meeting places. Regardless of whether we have lived here forever or are newcomers to the district. We are also against refugee camps – but only because life in them is inhumane and we are in favour of good housing for everyone!
So the problem is not our newly arriving neighbours – the problem is the AFD and its politics of division!
Therefore: on Thursday, 26 August, 6 p.m. to the rally in front of the Max Taut School and then into the BVV – we will not give the fascists any room for their racist agitation!
